Investigating the productive effects of disarmament advocacy through the case of AI-enabled weapons.
What do attempts to regulate and prohibit AI-enabled weapons change about the representation of warfare in contemporary politics? Building on my therotical background in critical and feminist security studies, I look at the productive effects of advocacy and regulatory processes on our understanding of algorithmic violence in contemporary conflicts.

I’m a PhD candidate in political science at the University of Montreal, in Canada. I’m researching disarmament and AI-enabled weapon systems. My research is funded by the Fonds de recherche du Québec (FRQSC). I am a member of the Centre de d’études et de recherches internationales de l’Université de Montréal (CÉRIUM) and the Strategic Analysis Network.
